This Privacy Policy explains how QSApp ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our mobile application.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following information when you use QSApp:
- Account information: email address and password when you register.
- Project data: drawings, scope of works, and cost estimates you create within the app.
- Usage data: API usage logs to monitor service performance and costs.
- Address/postcode data: used solely to determine the regional pricing factor for your estimate. Not stored beyond the current session.
- Accuracy data: where you correct a dimension or a rate we produced, we record the before and after values so we can improve the accuracy of the app. This is tied to your account but contains no client or personal details beyond the project name you chose.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and operate the QSApp service.
- To generate cost estimates using AI (Anthropic Claude API). Uploaded drawings and scope text are sent to Anthropic's API for processing. See Anthropic's Privacy Policy for details on how they handle data.
- To store your projects securely so you can access them across devices.
- To monitor usage and maintain service reliability.
- To improve the accuracy of our measurements and rates.
3. Camera and Photo Access
QSApp only accesses your camera or photo library when you choose to add a drawing, plan, or company logo. Images are used solely to build your estimate and are not used for any other purpose.
4. Payments
Purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple through your Apple ID. We never receive or store your card details. We record only whether your account holds credits or an active subscription, so we know what you're entitled to use.
5. Data Storage
Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a cloud database platform. Data is stored on servers within the European Union. See Supabase's Privacy Policy for further information.
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell your data. We share data only with the third-party services required to operate the app:
- Anthropic — for AI-powered scope extraction from uploaded drawings.
- Supabase — for secure data storage and authentication.
- Apple — for processing purchases and subscriptions.
7. Data Retention and Deletion
Your account and project data is retained for as long as your account is active. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time directly in the app (Business Profile → Danger Zone → Delete Account), or by contacting us at the email below.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Delete your account and data (see section 7).

9. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your data. All data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text.
10. Children's Privacy
QSApp is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
